La Plagne has a vast amount of snow sure skiing with wide blues, challenging reds and blacks, and there is extensive off-piste particularly on Bellecôte and Roche de Mio to Les Coches and Champagny. Les Coches’ north facing slopes are very picturesque and provide lovely sheltered skiing on fairly easy tree lined runs that can be useful in snowy weather. and hold their snow all season together with some off piste options. Pistes are well maintained and there is extensive snow making. 

Les Coches is part of the La Plagne ski area and opposite Les Arcs which is easily accessible via the spectacular Vanoise double decker cable car which is due to re-open on 20th December 2008 to provide door to door skiing of the whole Paradiski area. Les Arcs doubles the skiing opportunities and provides south facing skiing and additional expert challenges, plus the flying kilometre. There are several snow parks and boarder cross circuits in both La Plagne and Les Arcs.

The 2007/8 La Plagne ski pass also provided a free day in other Tarentaise resorts such as Tignes/Val d'Isere (1 hour drive), and the Trois Vallee (45 minutes).

There are 3 ski schools in the village and a mountain guide service. Ski schools typically meet just a short walk or ski from the apartment at the bottom of the Plan Bois lift right by the ski schools, shops, and restaurants.

2 childrens creches and Jardin de Neige available in village a short walk (even for 3 year olds) from the apartment.

Tobogganing, torch lit descents and the Olympic bobsleigh course are all open to  visitors.
